Name of the Launch Location: Weir Quay Public Slipway

About the Area: Weir Quay is about 8 miles North of Plymouth, Devon, and the launch point is the most northerly useful slipway on the Tamar. There are other publis slipways to the North, and they are narrow and steep. Weir Quay has an all-tide, wide slipway with good facilities.

The Public Slipway is used by the Weir Quay Community Watersports Hub Club, which hosts Weir Quay Sailing Club and the Tamar and Tavy Gig Club. https://wqwatersports.org.uk

There is an excellent cafe at the boatyard, check for opening times on their website https://www.weir-quay.co.uk/the-yard-cafe

Please be sensitive to the local users of this public slipway – rowing gigs are frequently launched and recovered throughout the day, and Weir Quay Sailing Club use this for their launching and recovery.
