About the Area:
Bowness-on-Windermere is a bustling tourist town on the East shore of Windermere between Waterhead at the North and Lakeside at the South of the lake. Bowness is now one of the UK’s main locations for outdoor activities. It is also home to the Jetty Museum where you can explore the 200 year history of boating on Windermere and indulge in heritage boats trips (seasonal).

Launch Information:
Launching at Ferry Nab is via the main slipway nestled between rows of pontoons. It can get very busy in the Summer months. The daily launch fee for a trailered vessel up to 11 metres is £16.80 paid to the Ferry Nab marina office at the top of the slipway.
There is a small (and fairly steep) slipway to the right of the main slipway and nestled behind part of the boat park, this slipway is free to use if you can hand-launch without assistance. If parking a towing vehicle and trailer and using the main slipway (vehicles are allowed on the slipway to launch) the total cost to launch for a whole day is £33 ( see the price breakdown below )
Towing Vehicle Parking:
There are plenty of parking spaces at the marina and this includes space for your trailer too. Drive to the car park’s rigging areas and then walkt to the marina office to announce your arrival, then you can set up your boat and wheel it to the launch area. You can then move your towing vehicle and trailer to designated parking bays.
