We are recruiting for members of the Dinghy Trails Committee at an important and exciting time for the RYA Dinghy Trails project.
The RYA Dinghy Trails is an exciting and popular initiative started during the pandemic to encourage more people onto the water. Initially the RYA launched over 20 trails in PDF format around the country. We have now started a pilot project to create a mechanism to both increase the number of trails and keep them easily updated. We are looking for volunteers across the country to support this project and are interesting in delivering the online experience to the users.
More specifically the purpose of the Dinghy Trails Committee is to:
- Administrate the WordPress the site.
- Use WordPress to make content
- Train others in editing the site.
- Maintain the quality of the content.
- Define and manage the communications channels with the DTSIG (social media / email)
Dinghy Trails Committee volunteers will bring skills in information presentation, creating and editing content, knowledge management, communications skills.
We are looking for volunteers:
- Who have familiarity with presenting information in an attractive format.
- Have familiarity with WordPress (or any content management system).
- Creating images in PowerPoint or Keynote, and editing text, or are happy to learn.
There will be opportunity to practise creating content before making the content live. Full training and support will be available.
The Dinghy Trails Committee will meet monthly over Teams/Zoom during a weekday evening.
